These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Go-LX (the "Platform"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Go-LX.
Go-LX is an online classifieds platform that lets users list indigenous cattle (including cows, bulls, calves, and heifers) either for sale or for adoption, lets other users find and request to contact those sellers, lets veterinary professionals list themselves in a public directory, and lets gaushalas (cow shelters) register and be discoverable to the public. Go-LX also publishes informational content such as government cattle-welfare schemes, an encyclopedia of indigenous breeds, and educational blog posts.
Go-LX is not a party to any transaction between users. We do not own, sell, buy, transport, inspect or guarantee any cattle listed on the Platform, do not provide veterinary services ourselves, do not run any gaushala, and do not charge any commission on sales or adoptions between users.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract under Indian law to use Go-LX. By using the Platform you confirm that you meet these requirements.
You sign in to Go-LX using your email address and a password that you set when you register. Registration requires verifying your email through a one-time code (OTP) sent by email. Your mobile number is recorded on your account so buyers can be put in touch with you after you approve a contact request, but it is not how you sign in. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account and for keeping your email, password and mobile number secure. You agree to provide accurate information when you register and to keep it up to date through your profile.
If you forget your password, you can reset it from the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in page using an email OTP. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deletion is subject to the data-retention rules described in our Privacy Policy.
When you post cattle for sale on Go-LX, you confirm that:
Every cattle listing and every vet directory profile is reviewed by our team before it becomes publicly visible. We may approve, reject, edit or remove any listing at our discretion — for example, if it is inaccurate, incomplete, unlawful, of poor quality, or does not meet our standards.
Approval by Go-LX does not verify or guarantee the health, condition, ownership, lineage, milk yield, or any other claim about cattle, nor the qualifications, registration or practice quality of any veterinarian.
A seller's mobile number is not shown publicly on cattle listings. A signed-in buyer who is interested in a cattle listing may send a contact request to the seller. The seller is notified and can approve or decline the request, optionally giving a reason.
By sending a contact request, you agree to use the seller's number only to discuss the listing in good faith — not to send spam, scam attempts, harassment, or unrelated solicitations. Misuse may result in suspension of your account.
By approving a contact request, a seller agrees that the requesting buyer may see and use the seller's mobile number for that listing.
Veterinary professionals (veterinarians, para-vets, AI workers, etc.) may list themselves in the Go-LX Vets Directory. By submitting a vet profile, you confirm:
Listings on Go-LX can be marked as for "Sale" or for "Adoption". An adoption listing means the giver is willing to hand the cattle over without a sale price, for a permanent caring home.
A signed-in user who wishes to adopt cattle must submit an adoption application that includes their home type, household context, prior experience, transport plan, and a copy of a government-issued ID proof. The applicant must explicitly accept the Go-LX Adopter Pledge, which is binding:
Once an adoption application is approved, the giver and adopter coordinate the physical handover. Either party may upload handover notes, and Go-LX may record the handover date and status. Completed adoptions may be celebrated on the public "Happy Homes" page in an anonymised form (breed, photographs, district-level location) — your name, mobile number and ID proof are never published.
Go-LX may, at its discretion, suspend or remove an adopter or a listing if the pledge is violated, if false information is provided, or if the welfare of the cattle is at risk.
Any registered gaushala or cow shelter may submit its details to the Go-LX Gaushala Directory. By submitting, you confirm:
The public Cattle Adopter section allows anyone to submit basic interest details (name, mobile, optional email, optional location, message). By submitting this form, you agree that Go-LX or a partner gaushala may contact you about possible adoption opportunities. This is an enquiry only and does not create any adoption agreement.
The Go-LX newsletter is opt-in. By submitting your email through a newsletter form you agree to receive occasional updates about Go-LX, and you may unsubscribe at any time. By submitting the feedback or contact forms, you authorise Go-LX to use the information you provide to respond to you and to improve the Platform.
Go-LX is a community-supported free platform. Any donations made through the Platform (including via PayPal) are completely voluntary and non-refundable. Donations do not purchase any special privileges, ownership, user benefits, or influence over Platform moderation, listing approvals, or policy decisions. In-app and PayPal donation button interactions are tracked strictly for platform analytics and administrative views.

Go-LX provides a reporting feature so users can flag listings, vet profiles or other users for our review. You agree to use this feature in good faith and only when you have a genuine concern. We review reports as a moderation aid; we do not promise any specific outcome or response time. Knowingly false or abusive reports may themselves result in action against your account.
Laws relating to the ownership, sale, transport, welfare and slaughter of cattle differ significantly across central and state jurisdictions in India. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all laws that apply to you and to any transaction you enter into through Go-LX. Government scheme information and blog content on Go-LX is provided for general awareness only and is not legal, veterinary, or financial advice.
Any sale, purchase, payment, transport or delivery of cattle, and any engagement of veterinary services, is solely between the users involved. Before completing any transaction you should inspect the cattle in person, verify its health and documents, confirm the seller's identity, and never pay in advance to an unverified party. Go-LX is not responsible for the conduct of any user, the condition or health of any animal, the qualifications or performance of any vet, the accuracy of listings, payment disputes, or any loss arising from a transaction.
When you have an account, we may send you transactional notifications related to your activity — for example, when your listing is approved, when a buyer requests your contact, or when a contact request is approved or declined. These notifications may be in-app and, if you opt in, browser/PWA push notifications. You can turn off push notifications at any time from your profile settings.
You retain ownership of the photographs, text and other content you upload to Go-LX. By uploading content you grant Go-LX a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, distribute and create previews/thumbnails of that content for the purpose of operating, promoting and securing the Platform. This licence ends when you delete the content, except where we must retain a copy for legal or moderation purposes.
The Go-LX name, logo, design, code and brand assets belong to Go-LX. Educational and informational content published by Go-LX (such as scheme summaries and blog posts) is provided for personal, non-commercial reference unless otherwise stated.
Go-LX is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any listing, vet profile or user is genuine. Government scheme information and blog content are provided for general awareness only and may not be current — always confirm details from the relevant official source before making decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Go-LX and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss arising from transactions between users, reliance on listings or scheme/blog content, or use of the Platform. Our aggregate liability to any user shall not exceed one thousand Indian rupees (₹1,000).
We may suspend or terminate your access to Go-LX, or remove any of your listings, vet profile or content, if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users or the Platform. You may also stop using Go-LX and delete your account at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of Go-LX are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
We may update these Terms from time to time as Go-LX evolves. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Continued use of Go-LX after a change means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.
