Community Guidelines

Last updated: 5 June 2026

Go-LX is built around cow welfare and honest dealing between farmers, gaushalas, vets and adopters. These guidelines explain what behaviour we expect on the platform. They sit alongside our Terms of Service — if anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control.

What We Welcome

  • Genuine listings of cows you own or are legally authorised to sell or give for adoption.
  • Real, current photographs of the actual animal — taken at the animal's location wherever possible.
  • Accurate details: breed, gender, age, weight, milk yield, health and vaccination notes, Cow Aadhaar number, location and a fair price.
  • Respectful, business-like contact between buyers and sellers. Move quickly to mark listings as Sold or Adopted once the deal is done.
  • Vets and gaushalas registering with accurate qualifications, registration numbers and services.
  • Adopters who commit to lifelong care and accept the Adopter Pledge in good faith.

What's Not Allowed

  • Fake, fraudulent, misleading or duplicate listings — including posting the same cow under multiple accounts.
  • Recycled or stock photographs, photographs of animals you don't own, or photographs that include other people's identifiable images or personal documents.
  • Listings for animals other than cows, or anything intended for slaughter or illegal transport.
  • Cruelty to animals, in word or in deed — including content glorifying cruelty or unsafe practices.
  • Harassment, hate speech, threats, scams, spam or abusive contact requests sent to sellers.
  • Asking for advance payment, deposits or token money before a buyer has inspected the animal in person.
  • Submitting fake vet credentials or false gaushala registrations.
  • Submitting an adoption application with false information, or violating the Adopter Pledge after adopting.
  • Knowingly false reports against listings or users, used as a weapon rather than as a moderation aid.
  • Scraping, copying or systematically extracting Go-LX content outside of normal search-engine and AI-assistant indexing.
  • Any attempt to disrupt the platform or gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data.

How We Enforce These Rules

Every listing, vet profile and gaushala registration is reviewed before going live. Once it's live, anyone can report it using the Report button on the page itself.

When we receive a report — or notice an issue ourselves — we may, depending on the severity:

  • Edit the listing to correct it.
  • Hide or remove the listing from public view.
  • Warn the account holder and require them to update their content.
  • Temporarily suspend the account.
  • Permanently ban the account and remove all of its content in cases of serious, repeated or deliberate violations.

For serious safety issues — for example, content that risks the welfare of an animal or another user — we may act immediately without prior notice.

Reporting Something

The fastest way to flag a problem is the Report button on the relevant page. If you need to escalate a complaint or report illegal content, intellectual-property infringement or a privacy violation, please write to our Grievance Officer using the process described on the Grievance Officer page.

These guidelines change as Go-LX grows. The “Last updated” date above shows when this page last changed. For the binding legal version, see the Terms of Service.
