All pure indigenous Indian (Bos indicus) breeds produce A2 beta-casein milk by genetics. Crossbreds (Jersey × HF × indigenous) generally produce A1 / mixed milk. When buying for A2 specifically, confirm pure-breed status visually — convex forehead, lyre horns, prominent dewlap — or ask for a beta-casein genotype report from an NDRI-affiliated lab.
