Flagship national programme for the development and conservation of indigenous (desi) bovine breeds, in operation since 2014.

- Financial assistance for setting up Gokul Grams (integrated cattle development centres)

- Establishment of Gopal Ratna and Kamadhenu awards for best breeders
- Promotion of indigenous breeds: Gir, Sahiwal, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar, Rathi etc.

- Individual farmers: approach your district Animal Husbandry office
- Institutions: submit proposal through the State Implementing Agency
- For sex-sorted semen, contact the nearest semen station listed on the DAHD portal
