- Sex-sorted semen at subsidised cost for farmers to skew calf births toward female
- Establishment of Gopal Ratna and Kamadhenu awards for best breeders
- Promotion of indigenous breeds: Gir, Sahiwal, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar, Rathi etc.
Who can apply
- State governments and UTs
- NDDB, ICAR institutes, agricultural universities
- Registered cooperative societies and NGOs in dairy/animal husbandry
- Individual farmers benefit indirectly via state implementing agencies
Documents needed
- Aadhaar card
- Passport-size photo
- Bank passbook copy
- Proof of cattle ownership (or vet certificate)
- Land/lease document or PAN card
How to apply
- Individual farmers: approach your district Animal Husbandry office
- Institutions: submit proposal through the State Implementing Agency
- For sex-sorted semen, contact the nearest semen station listed on the DAHD portal
